Euston Open/Novice Qualifying Trial - 9th June 2019 - Sponsored by La Hogue Farm Shop & Cafe and Moloney Veterinary Clinics

We are hugely grateful to La Hogue Farm Shop & Café and Moloney Veterinary Clinics for sponsoring our Open/Novice Trial at Euston in conjunction with Euston Rural Pastimes

The National Award Winning La Hogue Farm Shop & Café, situated just of the A11 near Newmarket, is owned and run by farmer's son and daughter Chris & Joanna Reeks.
Established in 2002, La Hogue offers a vast array of home and locally produced food including a renowned butchery section with 3 full time butchers. The multi-award winning Farm Café/Restaurant offers home-cooked breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea in a comfortable, relaxed environment with outdoor alfresco eating and children's play area.
Chris Reeks set up the La Hogue Flock in 2009 on the Euston Estate primarily producing extensively grazed lamb for the shop, but also purchasing ewe lambs at top breeding sales and of renowned breeders and then running them for a year to be offered as breeding shearlings. The Welsh Mules that will be used at the EASS trial at Euston are a testament to what Chris is striving to produce.
Chris said " we're thrilled to support the EASS trial at Euston. Working sheepdogs are very close to my heart and are part of the fundamental fabric of the countryside. Not sure I'll ever have one good enough to trial though!"

Jerry Moloney has been in veterinary practice in north Essex for over 30 years and for 25 of those years he has also been an enthusiastic amateur sheepdog handler and supporter of the East Anglian Sheepdog Society. Jerry comes from a farming background and began his professional life working solely with farm animals but, mirroring the changes in the veterinary world generally, his career took him through mixed farm, equine and small-animal work to eventually develop a specialised and expanding small-animal practice.
Moloney Veterinary Clinics employ 25 people, including a team of 5 veterinary surgeons. They provide a service to clients not only throughout north-Essex but from much further afield. Reflecting Jerry Moloney’s deep interest in the working sheepdog, the practice has become closely identified with the border collie and in fact all working breeds. They are extremely happy to support the work of the EASS and are pleased to sponsor the upcoming Open/Novice Trials at Euston which is being held in conjunction with the Rural Pastimes event.
