Rule 7 – The Rules for Trials
CRADLE
A cradle course will be an outrun of about 150 yards, lift, fetch, short
drive and pen.
The drive will be around an obstacle placed about 50 yards from the
handler and the handler may leave the post to assist the dog with the drive.
A handler who chooses to leave the post to assist the drive will incur a
5 point penalty.
A Cradle dog will not have been placed in any trial other than a cradle
and will not have competed in any trial other than a Cradle or a Nursery.
